Just when you thought Oahu couldn’t get any more crowded! Disney will be building a Disney Vacation Club and Resort on the Ko Olina Resort on the west side of Ohau, Hawaii.

The Disney Resort will be built on a 21-acre oceanfront at Ko Olina and is scheduled to be open in 2011. Disney paid $143 million for the land that includes one of the man-made lagoons located near J.W. Marriott Hotel and Resort. The Resort will not be a theme park, but will have entertainment for its hotel rooms and villas dedicated to the company’s time-share division, Disney Vacation Club (350,000 members). The Disney Vacation club is expected to bring 1,000 jobs to Oahu.
