Shane Victorino has gone from a relative unknown to leading the Philadelphia Phillies past the Milwaukee Brewers in the division series and the LA Dodgers in the 2008 National League Championship Series (NLCS). Victorino is a native of Hawaii born in Wailuku, Maui. He was a Hawaii state high school track and field champ in 1999 and was drafted by the Dodgers that same year. Victorino now holds a MLB record after being the first person in post-season history to have a home run, a double, and two steals in a single game.

Kelly Hu was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 13 Feb, 1968 and became famous when she played the Cassandra in Scorpion King and Deathstrike (female Wolverine) in X2.

Kelly won the Miss Hawaii Teen USA and Miss Teen USA crowns in 1985. She moved quickly into television appearing in Growing Pains in 1987 and follow on parts in Night Court, 21 Jump Street and Melrose Place. She first appeared on the big screes in Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason takes Manhatten. Kelly Hu went on to win Miss Hawaii in 1993.
